And Now Presenting...

Jack loves to dance and I on the other hand have no coordination so therefore am not a good dancer. So you could say he gets his beautiful dances moves from his mother. I guess what I am trying to say is go easy on the kid he doesn't have that great of a teacher!

Its Fun to Have visitors....

well that is until they beat you at every board game you play with them!! :)
The past weekend some good friends came to visit us from D.C.
The weather was super cold but we did manage to get a trip into the city (which lasted for about a half hour) by riding the Staton Island Ferry which goes right by Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.

I tried taking a picture of the Statue of Liberty from the Ferry window and so that white blurry picture with the stick in it is the best I got. The boys though loved the Ferry and ecspecially loved little Christopher. Steve even told Matt that he thought the baby was so cute and that we should get one. Now that is a talk for another time... We really enjoyed seeing the Hopkins family again and next time we won't let them win every game so easily!! (also thanks Sarah for the pics I stole from your blog)

2 Women and One Big City!

My friend Val came from D.C. to stay for a few days and it was so much fun. I got to experience the city without kids for 2 days (thanks to my awesome husband)and these are just the highlights of our adventures...

The most exciting thing that happened was Val winning discounted tickets in a drawing for the Broadway play Wicked! We got front (1st row front) tickets to wicked for only $26.00!! The play was incredible (my first broadway show ever).
The second most exciting thing was going to Chinatown and being taken down to mysterious basements to buy knock off brand purses. On one occassion we were even shoved into a van to be shown some purses. It was all very mysterious!
On Val's last night here we also went to see Twilight and although Val fell asleep during the movie I enjoyed seeing it for my first time finally! The picture of us by the giant ball is the New Years Eve Ball for 2008 and we got to write a wish on confetti that was dropped with the 2009 New Years Eve Ball. Overall it was an exciting couple of days for this usually unexciting stay at home mom!! Thanks Val and thanks wonderful husband of mine!! Oh and thanks Rob for letting Val come!!
